Pacific Shores Stones opens doors in Birmingham bringing exotic natural stone to the city

Public and industry professionals are invited to view and be inspired by nature’s beauty

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – November 14, 2011 – Pacific Shore Stones will host its grand opening celebration on Friday, November 18th, 2011 at 288 Oxmoor Court from Noon to 5 P.M. The exotic stone distributor invites the city of Birmingham and its industry professionals to their opening featuring a showroom tour, raffles, and a lunch catering for all guests.

The store opening in Birmingham will be Pacific Shore Stones’ 11th distribution center across the nation. The 27,000 square foot showroom features a working gas fireplace, a functional kitchen, and a modern bath designed to feature an array of Pacific’s natural stone selection. The stone’s beauty and exotic colors are highlighted by Pacific Shore Stones’ naturally lit showroom, “designed specifically to inspire homeowners and designers alike” said Allen “Red” Morris, Pacific Shore Stones’ outside sales manager.

While attendees make their way through the showroom and into the slab warehouse, they will be able to speak with Pacific Shore’s sales team about stone formation, design opportunities, and receive after installation maintenance and care tips. Stone fabricators looking to attend the opening will be given the opportunity to enter a grand opening raffle for the chance to win two slabs of stone from Pacific Shore’s core collection. All those attending the grand opening will be invited to partake in the distributor’s meal offering of grilled steak, baked potatoes, and salads.

In the near future, Pacific Shore Stones hopes to make a real connection with Birmingham’s architects and designers by opening its conference room to industry professionals to use for client meetings, networking opportunities, and for creative inspiration. As some professionals are home-office based, this will allow them the opportunity to utilize Pacific Shore’s creative space. “The beauty of the stone is inspirational; what better way to be inspired than by designing and creating while surrounded by nature’s materials,” states Adam Wilson, Birmingham’s store manager. “We want to be a part of the home improvement community here in Birmingham and to support the development of the industry as much as possible.”
