Pacific Partners Attend Vegas Stone Expo
It may be assumed that since stone is a static material, taking years to form and solidify, not much change occurs within the stone industry, but every year industry professionals flock to Las Vegas for the annual Stone Expo. This year’s expo was a four-day event held from January 23rd - 26th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Pacific Shore Stones partners, Marco Pereira & Vinny Tavares, were in attendance for the event, being sure to stay up to date on the world of stone in order to continually improve Pacific Shore Stones product offerings and increase the overall consumer shopping experience.
Marco & Vinny spent time in Vegas not gambling, but scouting the Stone Expo for new design trends, stone tools, engineered surface products, and networking with other attendees. The Expo not only includes showcasing new products and building business relations but also includes educational seminars on the business aspect of stone distribution. Marco & Vinny understand the importance of constantly expanding their stone knowledge and made attending the Stone Expo’s educational seminars a priority while in Vegas. Presentations concentrated on trends, sustainability policies, new-age marketing techniques, safety precautions, and corporate social responsibility programs. Marco & Vinny also made sure to stop by one of the Expo’s featured events while at the seminar, Tool Alley. Pacific Shores Stones recently launched a tools distribution portion of the company and while at the expo, the partners sought out the newest tools to add to the company’s inventory in order to bring the most efficient and powerful tools to our fabrication customers. The Stone Expo’s The CAGE featured hands-on testing of new products in the fabrication industry. The partners, seeking the best new fabrication tools, could test out new core bits, saw blades, and learn about the latest polishing products ensuring that Pacific’s inventory includes the very best the industry has to offer. The Expo also featured tools guru, Chris Grundy, from DIY Networks’ “Cool Tools” highlighting his favorite, recommended products.
With only four days to take in a year’s worth of industry changes, Marco & Vinny brought home an abundance of new trends for Pacific Shore Stones and plenty of prospects for future inventory offerings.
